“The Bob” consists of 3 separate wilderness areas, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, the Scapegoat Wilderness and the Great Bear Wilderness. Together the areas contain 1.5 million acres of unspoiled beauty. Your family or group can experience a relaxing and unforgettable adventure in our high mountain camps engulfed in the quiet beauty of nature. These trips can include:
These Montana adventures are a complete wilderness experience, and we strive to follow the United States Forest Service's “Leave no trace" methods. We also do our best to make our guests as comfortable as the wilderness will allow. The sleeping tents are spacious double occupancy tents to help keep you dry should we run into wet conditions. The meals are served family style and come with homemade bread, fresh salads, quality meats and desserts. Most meals are prepared in Dutch ovens over open fires to help add to the atmosphere of the wilderness trip.
Here is an example of one of our traditional trips that can be scheduled any time from the 1st week in July through mid-August.
7 Day Trip to the Incomparable Chinese Wall.
Ride through the heart of the Bob Marshall, following along and crossing the South Fork of the Flathead River and the White River. Camp within a short distance of the Chinese Wall itself and make the short trip up onto the wall in the evening when the wildlife is on the move and easily spotted. Be prepared for one of the most memorable sunsets of a lifetime.
We can customize a trip entirely to fit your needs, or you can join us on one of our traditional trips. Whichever you choose, expect the vastness of the wilderness scenery and trail riding experience to leave a lasting impression.
Please remember to let us know of any fragile or breakable items, so proper precautions can be taken when we pack them.
A deposit of $500 will book the particular trip you want until January of the year the trip is to be conducted. At that time the remainder of the 50% deposit is required. Balance due 60 days before arrival.
Deposits are nonrefundable. This space is held for you, and this means turning others away. Deposits are transferable if you have someone else to take your place. In the event of Forest Fires, USFS closures, or other natural disasters, any remaining deposits may be held for a future reservation within 2 years.
